It's that time again...time for a house update! It's been awhile since you've seen any photos of the house. The real "work" has been completed. That means Scott and and Emily have finished all of their projects and everything that is left are things Alex and I need to do. We've had a few painting projects, and we've gotten a bit more decorating done. Still not finished and some rooms are rocking hand me down furniture, but it's coming along nicely!
Here is what we loved about Brooke and Brandon.... Their wedding was of course beautiful, but at the center of their day was a celebration of marriage. It was clear in their conversations, their joy filled smiles, and the way the worshiped during their ceremony.
There are some very obvious benefits of traveling. Experiencing other cultures, seeing beautiful sights, expanding your comfort zone, and probably the most relatable...NOT WORKING. All are great reasons to travel, and we recently had the privilege of enjoying each of these with a trip to the Canadian Rockies in Alberta, Canada.
We've gotten a lot of questions in the last couple of weeks. So many of your were asking for updates on the house. When it came time to start packing up our apartment we were spending less time at the house and more time trying to purge household items. We spent a weekend with family in St. Louis and we shot a wedding. So much has been going on, the updates have been hard to keep up with! Here is the most important news you need to know about the house progres....
These two. They look so happy and so in love don't they? Well, they truly are. There was no stopping them from cuddling, snuggling, laughing, or gazing. This engagement session was a total love fest of the head-over-heels variety.
It's amazing how much can be accomplished in one week. I told Alex that I really didn't think we were making that many changes to the house, but then I saw the empty house. It feel almost like we gutted the whole thing! The biggest change has been moving some walls to open up the space. We love how light and airy it is starting to feel now that the natural light can bounce around.
