As a Louisville senior photographer, I am so excited when I get high school student with a unique sense of style. That is Macy. The first time we met, she already knew exactly where she wanted to have her senior portraits taken. Joe Ley Antiques is one of her favorite places to spend her time. She loves the stories and history of the furniture and collectibles. If you have ever set foot inside Joe Ley, or even peered into the courtyard you've noticed it's sheer size as well as the vast amount of treasures it holds! We could have stayed there all day, and we still wouldn't have seen every nook and cranny. Talk about unique...a student with a sense of appreciation for things of the past, for history, for story.
Holy Chandeliers, right? We are very grateful to Joe Ley Antiques for being so kind and welcoming. After spending most of our time in the Antique store, we ventured out to the East Market District in Louisville. I've explored this area on several photo sessions and I'm still surprised with all the new little spots we find. There is so much to be seen in NuLu!
Our session ended at St. James Court where Macy and her mom couldn't stop laughing at each other. Her mom joined us on the session and it was clear that had a pretty special relationship. It is so nice to have a mom on a session that keeps her daughter at ease and full of smiles.
If you are a senior, we'd love to hear from you! Shoot us an email and let's start planning a session that is unique to you! Contact us here.
